Facebook has long been one of the most active channels for referrals of consumer web services. As part of our constant optimization program, we launched custom Facebook share images today.
Facebook share images allow you to specify what image should be included when your users make referrals on Facebook. By including a share image your users’ links are more likely to be clicked, which can lead to a higher conversion rate.
Facebook share images are configured in the squatch widget by providing an absolute URL to an image that is at least 114 px tall or 155 px wide. Because Facebook share images are configured when the referral widget loads you can use different share images whenever you want.
